     Captain Christopher Digby Leyland was born on 24 December 1892.2 He was the son of Christopher John Leyland and Helen Dora Cayley.2 He married Sylvia Evelyn Cotterell, daughter of Sir John Richard Geers Cotterell, 4th Bt. and Lady Evelyn Amy Gordon-Lennox, on 16 November 1916.1 He and Sylvia Evelyn Cotterell were divorced in 1929.1 He died on 1 December 1971 at age 78.1
     Captain Christopher Digby Leyland gained the rank of Captain in the service of the 1st Life Guards.1 He lived at Haggerston Castle, Northumberland, England. He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.).1
