     Ernst Markgraf von Baden-Durlach was the son of Christof I Markgraf von Baden.1 He married Elisabeth von Hohenzollern, daughter of Friedrich V Markgraf von Brandenburg-Ansbach and Zofia Jagellon, Królewna Polska, in 1510. He died in 1553.1
     Ernst Markgraf von Baden-Durlach was a member of the House of Zähringen.1 He gained the title of Markgraf von Baden-Durlach in 1535.1 He abdicated as Margrave of Baden-Durlach in 1552.1
