Ivan III Rurik, Grand Duke of Moscow was born in 1440.2 He was the son of Basil II Rurik, Grand Duke of Moscow and Mary of Maloyaroslav.2 He married, firstly, Mary of Tver, daughter of Boris Rurik, Grand Duke of Tver, in 1452.2 He married, secondly, Sophia Palaeologine, daughter of Thomas Palaeologus, Prince of Achaia, in 1472.2 He died in 1505.2
