     Timothy John Radcliffe Barnes, 4th Baron Gorell was born on 2 August 1927.1 He was the son of Ronald Gorell Barnes, 3rd Baron Gorell and Maud Elizabeth Furse Radcliffe.2 He married Joan Marion Collins, daughter of John Collins, on 29 May 1954.1 He died on 25 September 2007 at age 80.3
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Rifle Brigade.1 He was educated at New College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG.1 He was admitted to Inner Temple in 1951 entitled to practise as a barrister.1 He was a senior executive with Royal Dutch-Shell Oil between 1959 and 1984.1 He gained the title of 4th Baron Gorell, of Brampton, co. Derby [U.K., 1909] on 2 May 1963.1 He lived in 2003 at 4 Roehampton Gate, London, EnglandG.1
