     Blanche d'Orléans, Princesse d'Orléans was born on 28 October 1857 at Claremont House, Esher, Surrey, EnglandG.1 She was the daughter of Louis Charles Philippe Raphael d'Orléans, Duc de Nemours and Victoire Franziska Prinzessin von Sachsen-Coburg-Saalfeld.1 She died on 4 February 1932 at age 74 at Paris, FranceG, unmarried.1
     She was given the name of Blanche Marie Amélie Caroline Louise Victoire at birth.1 She gained the title of Princesse Blanche d'Orléans.

     Simon Christopher Joseph Fraser, 15th Lord (Fraser of) Lovat was born on 9 July 1911.1 He was the son of Simon Joseph Fraser, 14th Lord (Fraser of) Lovat and Hon. Laura Lister.1 He married Rosamond Broughton, daughter of Major Sir Henry John Delves Broughton, 11th Bt. and Vera Edyth Griffith-Boscawen, on 10 October 1938.2 He died on 16 March 1995 at age 83.1
     He was educated at Ampleforth College, Ampleforth, Yorkshire, England.1 He graduated from Magdalen College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant between 1932 and 1937 in the Scots Guards.1 He succeeded as the 4th Baron Lovat of Lovat, co. Inverness [U.K., 1837] on 18 February 1933.2 He succeeded as the 15th Lord Lovat [S., c. 1464] on 18 February 1933.1 He fought in the Second World War, where he was wounded.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in 1942.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Inverness-shire in 1942.1 He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.) in 1942.1 He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1942.1 He gained the rank of Brigadier in 1943.1 He was commanding officer of the Lovat Scouts (TA.)1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Inverness-shire in 1944.1 He was awarded the Chevalier, Ordre national de la Légion d'honneur.1 He was awarded the Croix de Guerre.1 He held the office of Joint Under-Secretary for Foreign Affairs between May 1945 and July 1954.1 He was awarded the Territorial Decoration (T.D.) in 1953.1
