Lt.-Gen. Sir George Thomas Napier was born on 30 June 1784. He was the son of Colonel Hon. George Napier and Lady Sarah Lennox. He married, firstly, Margaret Craig, daughter of John Craig and Sarah Stark, on 28 October 1812. He married, secondly, Frances Dorothea Blencowe, daughter of R. W. Blencowe, in 1839. He died on 8 September 1855 at age 71.2

He married, firstly, Elizabeth Pollock, daughter of Captain Robert Pollock, on 22 January 1775. He married, secondly, Lady Sarah Lennox, daughter of General Charles Lennox, 2nd Duke of Richmond and Lady Sarah Cadogan, on 27 August 1781.1 He died on 13 October 1804 at age 53.
