Cynthia Averil Charrington was born circa 1916.2 She was the daughter of Brigadier Harold Vincent Spencer Charrington and Eleanor Sophia Campbell Jeffreys.1,2 She married, firstly, Captain Alexander Hugh Gurney, son of Sir Hugh Gurney and Mariota Susan Carnegie, before 1969.1 She married, secondly, Commander Hon. Alexander Bannerman Carnegie, son of Charles Noel Carnegie, 10th Earl of Southesk and Ethel Mary Elizabeth Bannerman, on 5 August 1969.1 She died on 30 January 2011 at Crondall, Hampshire, England, without issue.2
