     Sir Archibald Buchan-Hepburn of Smeaton Hepburn, 4th Bt. was born on 12 March 1852.1 He was the son of Sir Thomas Buchan-Hepburn of Smeaton Hepburn, 3rd Bt. and Helen Little.1 He married Edith Agnes Karslake, daughter of Edward Kent Karslake, on 7 October 1890.1 He died on 17 May 1929 at age 77.1
     He was educated at Trinity College, Glenalmond, Perthshire, ScotlandG.1 He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, EnglandG, in 1875 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He was admitted to Inner Temple|barrister.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Haddingtonshire.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Haddingtonshire.1 He succeeded as the 4th Baronet Buchan-Hepburn [U.K., 1815] on 17 December 1893.1

     Edith Agnes Karslake was the daughter of Edward Kent Karslake.1 She married Sir Archibald Buchan-Hepburn of Smeaton Hepburn, 4th Bt., son of Sir Thomas Buchan-Hepburn of Smeaton Hepburn, 3rd Bt. and Helen Little, on 7 October 1890.1 She died on 4 March 1923.1
     Her married name became Buchan-Hepburn.

     Captain William Adrian Vincent Bethell was born in 1890. He was the son of William Bethell and Hon. Mairi Myrtle Willoughby.1 He married, firstly, Hon. Clarissa Madeline Georgiana Felicite Tennant, daughter of Edward Priaulx Tennant, 1st Baron Glenconner and Pamela Adelaide Genevieve Wyndham, on 18 August 1915.1 He and Hon. Clarissa Madeline Georgiana Felicite Tennant were divorced in 1918.1 He married, secondly, Cicely Violet Cotterell, daughter of Sir John Richard Geers Cotterell, 4th Bt. and Lady Evelyn Amy Gordon-Lennox, on 29 January 1921.2 He died on 16 July 1941.1
     He gained the rank of Captain in the 2nd Life Guards.1 He lived at Rise Park, Hull, Yorkshire, EnglandG.2

Mairi Myrtle Willoughby, on 18 August 1915.1 She and Captain William Adrian Vincent Bethell were divorced in 1918.1 She married, secondly, Major Lionel Hallam Tennyson, 3rd Baron Tennyson of Aldworth, son of Hallam Tennyson, 2nd Baron Tennyson of Aldworth and Audrey Georgiana Florence Boyle, on 27 March 1918.1 She and Major Lionel Hallam Tennyson, 3rd Baron Tennyson of Aldworth were divorced in 1928.1 She married, thirdly, James Montgomery Beck, son of Hon. James Montgomery Beck, on 24 July 1928.1 She and James Montgomery Beck were divorced in 1939.1 She died on 3 September 1960 at age 64.2
     From 18 August 1915, her married name became Bethell. From 27 March 1918, her married name became Tennyson. From 24 July 1928, her married name became Beck. On 1 August 1951 her name was legally changed to Tennyson.3
     Barbara Cartland commented that she was "the most beautiful woman I had ever seen."3
