     Anthony Preston was the son of Nicholas Preston and Elizabeth Preston.1 He married Hon. Mary Preston, daughter of Jenico Preston, 7th Viscount Gormanston and Hon. Margaret Molyneux, in 1700.1 He died on 25 September 1716.1
     He succeeded as the 12th Lord Preston of Gormanston [I., 1370] in 1679, de jure.1 He succeeded as the 9th Viscount Gormanston [I., 1478] in 1679, de jure.1

Anthony Preston, 2nd Viscount Taragh1

     Anthony Preston, 2nd Viscount Taragh was born on 20 June 1618.1 He was the son of Thomas Preston, 1st Viscount Taragh and Clara van der Eycken.1 He married Margaret Warren, daughter of Anthony Warren and Hon. Mary Preston, before 14 February 1642/43.1 He died on 24 April 1659 at age 40.1
     He gained the rank of Colonel from 1641 to 1642 in the Confederation of Kilkenny Forces, County Kildare and Queen's and King's Counties.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Viscount Taragh, co. Meath [I., 1650] before 21 October 1655.1

     He succeeded as the 11th Lord Preston of Gormanston [I., 1370] on 17 March 1690/91, de jure.1 He succeeded as the 8th Viscount Gormanston [I., 1478] on 17 March 1690/91, de jure.1

     Christopher Preston, 2nd Lord Preston of Gormanston is the son of Robert Preston, 1st Lord Preston of Gormanston.1 He married Elizabeth Loundres, daughter of William Loundres.1
     He succeeded as the 2nd Lord Preston of Gormanston [I., 1370] in 1396.1 He was appointed Knight in 1397.1

     Robert Preston, 1st Lord Preston of Gormanston was the son of Roger Preston and Maud (?)1 He married, secondly, Joan Hugeley.1 He married, firstly, Margaret de Bermingham, daughter of Walter de Bermingham, in 1353.1 He died in 1396.1
     He held the office of King's Serjeant.1 He held the office of 2nd Justice of the Court of Common Pleas in 1342.1 He held the office of Chief Justice of Ireland between 1358 and 1378.1 He was appointed Knight in 1361.1 He was created 1st Lord Preston of Gormanston [Ireland] circa 1370.1 He held the office of Keeper of the Great Seal [Ireland] from 1388 to 1389.1 He held the office of Viceregent of Ireland between 1389 and 1391.1 He held the office of Lord Chancellor of Ireland from 1391 to 1392.1
