He married, firstly, Eva Antonie Landzianowska in 1974. He married, secondly, Lucy Arabella Fox, daughter of Edward Charles Morice Fox and Clare Pelissier, in 1997.2

He and Jean Helen Shaw were divorced in 1955. He married, secondly, Daphne Helen Anne Brudenell-Bruce, daughter of Colonel Robert Hanbury Brudenell-Bruce and Olive Ina Vera Richardson, after 1955.1
