     Alexander Hadden Lindsay was born on 10 August 1830.¹ He was the son of Martin Lindsay and Elspeth Hadden.² He married Isabella Mary Frances Harris, daughter of Maj.-Gen. Philip Harris, in 1870.¹ He died in 1887.¹
     He was Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.).¹ He was Major-General Royal Artillery and Royal Horse Artillery.¹

     Isabella Mary Frances Harris was the daughter of Maj.-Gen. Philip Harris.² She married Alexander Hadden Lindsay, son of Martin Lindsay and Elspeth Hadden, in 1870.¹ She died in 1874.¹
      From 1870, her married name became Lindsay.

     Susannah Alice Alexander was born circa 1849 at Corfu, Greece.¹ She married Harry Hankey Dobree, son of Bonamy Dobrée and Emma Mary Snell Chauncey, on 17 December 1868 at Strand, London, England.¹ She died on 8 September 1929 at Ramsgate, Kent, England.¹ Her will was probated on 2 October 1929.¹
      From 17 December 1868, her married name became Dobree.¹

     Gladys Hutton was the daughter of William Hutton.² She married Lt.-Col. Alexander Bertram Lindsay, son of Alexander Hadden Lindsay and Isabella Mary Frances Harris, in 1904.¹ She died on 11 January 1961.¹

     Mildred Alice Ashburner was born in 1879 at Kensington, London, England.¹ She was the daughter of Lionel Robert Ashburner and Emily Caroline Haggard.¹ She married Lt.-Cdr. Thomas Clapton, son of Nathaniel Clapton, on 1 December 1909 at Madras, India.¹ She died in 1933 at Battle, Sussex, England.¹
      From 1 December 1909, her married name became Clapton.²
