Sir John Hobart Culme-Seymour, 2nd Bt. was born on 24 March 1800.1 He was the son of Admiral Sir Michael Seymour, 1st Bt. and Jane Hawker.2 He married, firstly, Elizabeth Culme, daughter of Reverend Thomas Culme, on 12 April 1833.1 He married, secondly, Maria Louisa Smith, daughter of Charles Smith and Augusta Smith, on 10 February 1844.1 He died on 17 September 1880 at age 80.1
He was given the name of John Hobart Seymour at birth.3 He succeeded to the title of 2nd Baronet Seymour, of High Mount, co. Limerick [U.K., 1809] on 9 July 1834.3 On 6 May 1842 his name was legally changed to John Hobart Culme-Seymour by Royal Licence.1 He was the Rector at Berkhampstead St. Mary, Hertfordshire, England.1 He was the Rector at Northchurch, Hertfordshire, England.1 He held the office of Prebendary of Lincoln.1 He held the office of Canon of Gloucester.1 He held the office of Chaplain-in-Ordinary to HM Queen Victoria.1
