Angela Mary Haig-Thomas is the daughter of Peter Haig-Thomas and Lady Alexandra Henrietta Alice Agar.1 She married, firstly, Captain Count Richard Dudley Melchior Gurowski, son of Count Richard Dudley Melchior Gurowski, before 1948.1 She married, secondly, Richard Miles Backhouse, son of Admiral Sir Roger Roland Charles Backhouse and Dora Louise Findlay, on 9 June 1948.1 She and Richard Miles Backhouse were divorced in 1951.1

Richard Miles Backhouse was born on 9 April 1911.1 He is the son of Admiral Sir Roger Roland Charles Backhouse and Dora Louise Findlay.1 He married, firstly, Angela Mary Haig-Thomas, daughter of Peter Haig-Thomas and Lady Alexandra Henrietta Alice Agar, on 9 June 1948.1 He and Angela Mary Haig-Thomas were divorced in 1951.1 He married, secondly, Edeltraud Margaretha Perz, daughter of Hofrat Dr. Hans Perz, on 21 December 1951.1 He died on 23 September 1969 at age 58.1
