     Colonel Henry Hussey Vivian, 1st Baron Swansea was born on 6 July 1821.¹ He was the son of John Henry Vivian and Sarah Jones. He married Jessie Dalrynple Goddard, daughter of Ambrose Goddard, on 15 April 1847.¹ He married, secondly, Flora Caroline Elizabeth Cholmeley, daughter of Sir Montague John Cholmeley, 2nd Bt. and Lady Georgiana Beauclerk, on 14 July 1853.² He married, thirdly, Averil Beaumont, daughter of Captain Richard Beaumont and Hon. Susan Hussey Bosville Macdonald, on 10 November 1870.³ He died on 28 November 1894 at age 73.
     He was Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Lib): –57, Glamorgan 1857–85, Swansea 1885–93 Truro 1852.¹ He was County Glamorgan (both UK).¹ He was Colonel 4th Glamorgan RV.¹ He was also known as Baron 1st Swansea.⁴ He gained the title of 1st Baron Swansea. On 13 May 1882 so created and 9 June 1893 respectively.¹

     Flora Caroline Elizabeth Cholmeley was the daughter of Sir Montague John Cholmeley, 2nd Bt. and Lady Georgiana Beauclerk.¹ She married Colonel Henry Hussey Vivian, 1st Baron Swansea, son of John Henry Vivian and Sarah Jones, on 14 July 1853.¹ She died on 25 January 1868.¹
      Her married name became Vivian.

     Patrick Treherne was born in 1955. He is the son of Robert Philip Dalrymple Treherne and Nina Haig-Thomas.

     Jessie Dalrynple Goddard was the daughter of Ambrose Goddard. She married Colonel Henry Hussey Vivian, 1st Baron Swansea, son of John Henry Vivian and Sarah Jones, on 15 April 1847.¹ She died on 28 February 1848.¹
     She was Member of Parliament (M.P.).¹ Her married name became Vivian.

     Ambrose Goddard lived at The Lawn, Swindon, Wiltshire, England.

     Ernest Ambrose Vivian, 2nd Baron Swansea was born on 11 February 1848.¹ He was the son of Colonel Henry Hussey Vivian, 1st Baron Swansea and Jessie Dalrynple Goddard. He died on 17 July 1922 at age 74, unmarried.¹
     He was Justice of the Peace (J.P.).¹ He was Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) (Glamorgan).¹ 2nd Baron Swansea of Singleton.¹ He gained the title of 2nd Baron Swansea.

     Hon. John Aubrey Vivian was born on 23 July 1854.¹ He was the son of Colonel Henry Hussey Vivian, 1st Baron Swansea and Flora Caroline Elizabeth Cholmeley. He died on 1 March 1898 at age 43, unmarried.¹
     He was Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) (Glamorgan).¹ He was Justice of the Peace (J.P.).¹

     Odo Richard Vivian, 3rd Baron Swansea was born on 22 April 1875.¹ He was the son of Colonel Henry Hussey Vivian, 1st Baron Swansea and Averil Beaumont. He married Hon. Winifred Hamilton, daughter of Ion Trant Hamilton, 1st Baron Holmpatrick and Lady Victoria Alexandrina Wellesley, on 25 October 1906.¹ He died on 16 November 1934 at age 59.¹
     He was Honour Colonel 6th Battalion Welch Regt, Glamorgan –19 Yeo 1901.¹ He was Justice of the Peace (J.P.).¹ He was Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) (Glamorgan).¹ He was Member, Royal Victorian Order (M.V.O.).¹ He was Companion, Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.).¹ He gained the title of 3rd Baron Swansea. He was Territorial Decoration (T.D.) in 1916.¹

     Hon. Winifred Hamilton was the daughter of Ion Trant Hamilton, 1st Baron Holmpatrick and Lady Victoria Alexandrina Wellesley.¹ She married Odo Richard Vivian, 3rd Baron Swansea, son of Colonel Henry Hussey Vivian, 1st Baron Swansea and Averil Beaumont, on 25 October 1906.² She died on 3 September 1944.²
      Her married name became Vivian.
