Sir Robert Keith Dick-Cunyngham, 5th/7th Bt.1

     Sir Robert Keith Dick-Cunyngham, 5th/7th Bt. was born on 14 April 1773.1 He was the son of Sir Alexander Dick of Prestonfield, 3rd Bt. and Mary Butler.1 He married Harriet Hanmer, daughter of Thomas Hanmer, on 15 May 1807.1 He died on 14 December 1849 at age 76.1
     He was given the name of Robert Keith Dick at birth.1 His name was legally changed to Robert Keith Dick-Cunyngham by Act of Parliament.1 He succeeded as the 7th Baronet Dick, of Prestonfield, co. Midlothian [S., 1707] on 14 December 1812.1 He was with the Honourable East India Company Service.1 He succeeded as the 5th Baronet Cuninghame, of Caprington, co. Ayr [N.S., 1669] on 16 December 1829.2

     Harriet Hanmer was the daughter of Thomas Hanmer.1 She married Sir Robert Keith Dick-Cunyngham, 5th/7th Bt., son of Sir Alexander Dick of Prestonfield, 3rd Bt. and Mary Butler, on 15 May 1807.1 She died on 27 January 1858.1
     From 15 May 1807, her married name became Dick-Cunyngham.1

     Susan Alston-Stewart was the daughter of Major James Alston-Stewart.1 She married Sir William Hanmer Dick-Cunyngham, 6th/8th Bt., son of Sir Robert Keith Dick-Cunyngham, 5th/7th Bt. and Harriet Hanmer, on 17 February 1836.1 She died on 26 April 1892.1
     From 17 February 1836, her married name became Dick-Cunyngham.1

     Sir Robert Keith Alexander Dick-Cunyngham, 7th/9th Bt. was born on 21 December 1836.1 He was the son of Sir William Hanmer Dick-Cunyngham, 6th/8th Bt. and Susan Alston-Stewart.1 He married Sarah Mary Hetherington, daughter of William Hetherington, on 30 March 1864.1 He died on 2 May 1897 at age 60.1
     He fought in the officer, 93rd Highlanders.1 He fought in the Capture of Lucknow in November 1857, where he was wounded.1 He succeeded as the 9th Baronet Dick, of Prestonfield, co. Midlothian [S., 1707] on 20 February 1871.1 He succeeded as the 7th Baronet Cuninghame, of Caprington, co. Ayr [N.S., 1669] on 20 February 1871.2
