     Lt.-Col. William Henry Dick-Cunyngham, V.C. was born on 16 June 1851.1 He was the son of Sir William Hanmer Dick-Cunyngham, 6th/8th Bt. and Susan Alston-Stewart.1 He married Helen Wachope, daughter of Samuel Wachope, on 4 April 1883.1 He died on 7 January 1900 at age 48, from wounds received in action.1
     He fought in the Afghan Campaign.1 He fought in the Transvaal Campaign.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Gordon Highlanders.1 He was awarded the Victoria Cross (V.C.)1 He fought in the Siege of Ladysmith on 6 January 1900.1

     Helen Wachope was the daughter of Samuel Wachope.1 She married Lt.-Col. William Henry Dick-Cunyngham, V.C., son of Sir William Hanmer Dick-Cunyngham, 6th/8th Bt. and Susan Alston-Stewart, on 4 April 1883.1 She died on 12 February 1939.1
     From 4 April 1883, her married name became Dick-Cunyngham.1

     Sarah Mary Hetherington was the daughter of William Hetherington.1 She married Sir Robert Keith Alexander Dick-Cunyngham, 7th/9th Bt., son of Sir William Hanmer Dick-Cunyngham, 6th/8th Bt. and Susan Alston-Stewart, on 30 March 1864.1 She died on 16 January 1915.1
     From 30 March 1864, her married name became Dick-Cunyngham.1

Robert Henry Dick-Cunyngham1

     Robert Henry Dick-Cunyngham was born on 26 September 1875.1 He was the son of Sir Robert Keith Alexander Dick-Cunyngham, 7th/9th Bt. and Sarah Mary Hetherington.1 He married Beatrice Eleanor Lousada, daughter of Captain Simeon Charles Lousada and Charlotte Sophia Moysey, on 5 January 1905 at Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, England.1 He died on 18 August 1913 at age 37.1
     He gained the rank of Captain in the 21st Lancers.1 He fought in the Boer War between 1901 and 1902, where he was mentioned in despatches.1 He was Aide-de-Camp to the Governor of Madras between 1903 and 1904.1
