Sir John Gregory Shaw, 5th Bt. was born on 25 July 1756 at Eltham, Kent, England.1 He was the son of Sir John Shaw, 4th Bt. and Martha Kenward.1 He married Hon. Theodosia Margaret Monson, daughter of John Monson, 2nd Baron Monson and Theodosia Maddison, on 9 March 1782 at St. Marylebone Church, Marylebone, London, England. He died on 28 October 1831 at age 75 at Kenward Park, Yalding, Kent, England.1 His will was probated in January 1832.1
Sir John Gregory Shaw, 5th Bt. matriculated at Trinity College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, on 26 January 1774.1 He graduated from Trinity College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, on 31 October 1776 with a Master of Arts (M.A.).1 He succeeded to the title of 5th Baronet Shaw, of the city of London [E., 1665] on 18 June 1779.1 He lived at Kenward Park, Yalding, Kent, England.1 He lived at Eltham Lodge, Eltham, Kent, England.1
