     Elizabeth Penelope Cumberland was the daughter of Major George Burrell Cumberland.1 She married Alexander Dick-Cunyngham, son of Sir William Hanmer Dick-Cunyngham, 6th/8th Bt. and Susan Alston-Stewart, on 24 November 1875.1 She died on 21 November 1918.1
     From 24 November 1875, her married name became Dick-Cunyngham.1

     William Cathcart Smith Cuninghame, 14th of Caprington was born on 21 August 1814.1 He was the son of John Smith Cuninghame and Anne Dick, 12th of Caprington.1 He married Maria Anstruther, daughter of James Anstruther, on 3 August 1847.2 He died on 13 January 1900 at age 85.1
     He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Lanarkshire.2 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Ayrshire.2 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Aryshire.2

     Anne Dick, 12th of Caprington was born on 9 January 1791.2 She was the daughter of Sir William Dick, 4th Bt. and Joanna Douglas.1 She was baptised on 17 March 1791 at Duddingston, Midlothian, Scotland.2 She married John Smith Cuninghame, son of Thomas Smith, on 7 August 1812 at Duddingston, Midlothian, Scotland.1,2 She died on 3 October 1855 at age 64.1
     From 7 August 1812, her married name became Cuninghame.1

     John Smith Cuninghame was the son of Thomas Smith.1 He married Anne Dick, 12th of Caprington, daughter of Sir William Dick, 4th Bt. and Joanna Douglas, on 7 August 1812 at Duddingston, Midlothian, Scotland.1,2 He died on 1 March 1830.1
     He was principal Clerks of the Bills, Parliament House, Edinburgh.1 He was a practising Writer to the Signet (W.S.)1 He was given the name of John Smith at birth.1
