Robert Balfour, 4th Lord Balfour of Burleigh1

     Robert Balfour, 4th Lord Balfour of Burleigh was the son of John Balfour, 3rd Lord Balfour of Burleigh and Isabel Balfour.1 He married Margaret Melville, daughter of George Melville, 1st Earl of Melville and Catharine Leslie.1 He died in July 1713.1
     He succeeded as the 4th Lord Balfour of Burleigh, co. Kinross [S., 1607] between December 1696 and February 1697.1

     Her married name became Balfour.1

     Catharine Leslie was the daughter of Alexander Leslie, Lord Balgonie and Lady Margaret Leslie.1,2 She married George Melville, 1st Earl of Melville, son of John Melville, 3rd Lord Melville of Monymaill and Anne Erskine, on 18 January 1655.2
     From 18 January 1655, her married name became Melville.2 After her marriage, Catharine Leslie was styled as Countess of Melville on 8 April 1690.

Alexander Leslie, Lord Balgonie1

     Alexander Leslie, Lord Balgonie was the son of Alexander Leslie, 1st Earl of Leven and Agnes Renton.1 He married Lady Margaret Leslie, daughter of John Leslie, 6th Earl of Rothes and Lady Anne Erskine, in 1636.1 He died circa 12 January 1644.1
     He was styled as Master of Leven.2 He was styled as Lord Balgonie.2
