Anna Dundas1

     Anna Dundas was the daughter of Sir William Dundas of Kincavel and Margaret Edmonston.1,2 She married Lt.-Col. Hon. John Edmund Erskine, son of David Erskine, 2nd Lord Cardross and Mary Bruce, on 5 January 1691.1 She died on 29 June 1723.1
      From 5 January 1691, her married name became Erskine.

     John Erskine was born on 4 November 1695.1 He was the son of Lt.-Col. Hon. John Edmund Erskine and Anna Dundas.2 He married, firstly, Margaret Melville, daughter of James Melville, in March 1719.1 He married, secondly, Anne Stirling, daughter of James Stirling of Keir, in 1729.1 He died on 1 March 1768 at age 72.1
     He wrote the book Institutes of the Law of Scotland.3 He lived at Cardross, Argyllshire, Scotland.2 He lived at Carnock, Fife, Scotland.1

     Reverend John Erskine was born on 2 June 1719.1 He was the son of John Erskine and Margaret Melville.1 He married Hon. Christian Mackay, daughter of George Mackay, 3rd Lord Reay and Mary Dowell, on 15 June 1746.1 He died on 19 January 1803 at age 83.1
     He graduated with a Doctor of Divinity (D.D.).1 He lived at Carnock, Fife, Scotland.1
     He had a son and three other daughters.1

George Mackay, 3rd Lord Reay1

     George Mackay, 3rd Lord Reay was born late in 1678.2 He is the son of Donald Mackay, Master of Reay and Anne Munro.2 He married, secondly, Janet Sinclair, daughter of John Sinclair of Ulbster and Jean Munro.2 He married, firstly, Margaret Mackay, daughter of Lt.-Gen. Hugh Mackay of Scourie, in December 1702.2 He married, thirdly, Mary Dowell, daughter of John Dowell of Thuster, on 11 August 1713.2 He died on 21 March 1748, having by her had, with three other daughters (d unm):.2
     He gained the title of 3rd Lord Reay. He was educated at The Netherlands.2 He was invested as a Fellow, Royal Society (F.R.S.) in 1698.2 He was supported Government in and 1745 Uprisings in 1715.2

     Hon. Christian Mackay was the daughter of George Mackay, 3rd Lord Reay and Mary Dowell.2 She married Reverend John Erskine, son of John Erskine and Margaret Melville, on 15 June 1746.1 She died on 20 May 1800.1
      From 15 June 1746, her married name became Erskine.
