     Alexander Leslie, 2nd Earl of Leven was born circa 1637.1 He was the son of Alexander Leslie, Lord Balgonie and Lady Margaret Leslie.1 He married Margaret Howard, daughter of Sir William Howard and Mary Eure, on 30 December 1656.1 He died on 15 July 1664.1
