     Charles Bathurst Hele Phipps was born in 1889.2 He married Lady Sybil Anne Montagu Douglas Scott, daughter of Sir John Charles Montagu Douglas Scott, 9th Duke of Queensberry and Lady Margaret Alice Bridgeman, on 14 May 1919.1 He died on 12 January 1960.1

     Charles Nicholas Phipps was born on 26 August 1925 at Chalcot, Wiltshire, England.1 He was the son of Charles Bathurst Hele Phipps and Lady Sybil Anne Montagu Douglas Scott.1 He married Christian Fiona Mackenzie, daughter of Colin Hercules Mackenzie and Evelyn Clodagh Meade, on 3 June 1966 at Kyleakin Church, Isle of Skye, Scotland.1 He died on 6 July 2004 at age 78, in a road accident.1
     Charles Nicholas Phipps usually went by his middle name of Nicholas.2 He was educated at Eton College, Eton, Berkshire, England.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the service of the 10th Royal Hussars.1 He lived at Chalcot, Wiltshire, England.1
