He died on 22 November 1668 at age 36 at Eisenach, Germany.
     Adolf Wilhelm Herzog von Sachsen-Eisenach gained the title of Herzog von Sachsen-Eisenach.

Elizabeth, Countess of Bridgwater 2
     Lady Elizabeth Cavendish was born circa 1627.3 She was the daughter of William Cavendish, 1st Duke of Newcastle-upon-Tyne and Elizabeth Basset.1,3 She married John Egerton, 2nd Earl of Bridgwater, son of John Egerton, 1st Earl of Bridgwater and Lady Frances Stanley, on 22 July 1641 at St. James', Clerkenwell, London, England. She died on 14 June 1663 at Black Rod's House, Westminster, London, England, in childbed.3 She was buried at Little Gaddesden, Hertfordshire, England.3 She died intestate and her estate was administered on 27 April 1677.3
     From 22 July 1641, her married name became Egerton.3 As a result of her marriage, Lady Elizabeth Cavendish was styled as Countess of Bridgwater on 4 December 1649.

     Sophie Elisabeth von Mecklenburg-Güstrow was born on 20 August 1618. She was the daughter of Johann Albrecht II Herzog von Mecklenburg-Güstrow and Elisabeth von Hessen-Kassel. She married August Herzog von Braunschweig-Wolfenbüttel, son of Heinrich Herzog von Braunschweig-Lüneburg-Dannenberg and Ursula von Sachsen-Lauenburg, on 13 July 1635. She died on 12 July 1676 at age 57 at Lüchow, Germany.

He married, firstly, Elisabeth von Hessen-Kassel, daughter of Moritz Landgraf von Hessen-Kassel and Agnes von Solms-Laubach, in 1618. He married, secondly, Eleonore Marie von Anhalt-Bernburg, daughter of Christian I Prinz von Anhalt-Bernburg and Anna Gräfin von Bentheim-Tecklenburg, on 7 May 1626.1 He died circa 1636.
     Johann Albrecht II Herzog von Mecklenburg-Güstrow gained the title of Herzog von Mecklenburg-Güstrow.
