     W/Cdr. Robert Cecil Talbot Speir was born on 8 October 1904. He was the son of Colonel Guy Thomas Speir and Mary Lucy Fletcher. He married, firstly, Elizabeth Findlay, daughter of Sir John Ritchie Findlay of Aberlour, 1st Bt. and Harriet Jane Backhouse, on 26 April 1932. He married, secondly, Dolce Maria Handelsman in 1961. He died on 2 January 1980 at age 75.
     He gained the rank of Wing Commander in the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve.2 He gained the rank of officer in the King's Own Scottish Borderers.3 He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.)1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)1 He lived at Linkside, Nairnshire, ScotlandG.1

     Elizabeth Findlay was the daughter of Sir John Ritchie Findlay of Aberlour, 1st Bt. and Harriet Jane Backhouse.1 She married W/Cdr. Robert Cecil Talbot Speir, son of Colonel Guy Thomas Speir and Mary Lucy Fletcher, on 26 April 1932. She died in 1958.
     Her married name became Speir.

     Eva Monica Birgitta Blom is the daughter of Dr. Lennart Blom and Eva Maria (?).2 She married Hugo Gabriel McEwen, son of Alexander Dundas McEwen and Cecilia Gräfin von Weikersheim, on 6 July 1996.1
