Reverend Sir William Lionel Darell, 4th Bt. was born on 5 February 1817. He married, firstly, Mary Ford, daughter of Sir Francis Ford, on 29 May 1840. He married, secondly, Harriet Mary Tierny, daughter of Sir Edward Tierny, Bt., on 18 April 1843. He married, thirdly, Fanny Julia (?) on 7 January 1880. He died on 1 June 1883 at age 66.
