     Simon Heinrich Adolf Prinz zur Lippe-Detmold was born on 4 February 1694. He was the son of Friedrich Adolf Graf zur Lippe-Detmold. He married Joanna Wilhelmine von Nassau-Idstein, daughter of Georg August Samuel Prinz von Nassau-Idstein and Henriette Dorothea von Oettingen, on 16 October 1719. He died on 12 October 1734 at age 40.
     Simon Heinrich Adolf Prinz zur Lippe-Detmold gained the title of Prinz zur Lippe-Detmold.
