     Admiral Edward Granville George Howard, 1st and last Baron Lanerton of Lanerton was born on 23 December 1809.³ He was the son of Sir George Howard, 6th Earl of Carlisle and Lady Georgiana Dorothy Cavendish.² He married Diana Ponsonby, daughter of Hon. George Ponsonby and Diana Juliana Margaretta Bouverie, on 16 August 1842.¹ He died on 8 October 1880 at age 70, without issue.³
     Admiral Edward Granville George Howard, 1st and last Baron Lanerton of Lanerton held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Liberal) for Morpeth between 1833 and 1837.³ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Liberal) for Morpeth between 1840 and 1852.³ He gained the rank of Admiral in 1870 in the service of the Royal Navy.³ He was created 1st Baron Lanerton of Lanerton, co. Cumberland [U.K.] on 8 January 1874.³

     Mary Priscilla Harriet Parke was born before 1827. She was the daughter of Sir James Parke, 1st Baron Wensleydale of Walton and Cecilia Arabella Frances Barlow.² She married Hon. Charles Wentworth George Howard, son of Sir George Howard, 6th Earl of Carlisle and Lady Georgiana Dorothy Cavendish, on 8 August 1842.³ She died on 26 August 1843.³
     Her married name became Howard.

     George James Howard, 9th Earl of Carlisle was born on 12 August 1843 at Park Street, Grosvenor Square, London, England.³ He was the son of Hon. Charles Wentworth George Howard and Mary Priscilla Harriet Parke.² He married Hon. Rosalind Frances Stanley, daughter of Edward John Stanley, 2nd Baron Stanley of Alderley and Hon. Henrietta Maria Dillon-Lee, on 4 October 1864 at Alderley, Cheshire, England.³ He died on 16 April 1911 at age 67 at Brackland, Hindhead, Surrey, England, from heart failure.³ He was buried on 20 April 1911 at Lanercost Abbey, England.³ His will was probated on 15 June 1911, at £43,970.³

     Hon. Henry George Howard was born on 22 May 1818.¹ He was the son of Sir George Howard, 6th Earl of Carlisle and Lady Georgiana Dorothy Cavendish.² He married Mary Wellesley McTavish, daughter of John McTavish, on 29 May 1845.¹ He died on 10 August 1879 at age 61, without issue.¹

     Lady Elizabeth Dorothy Anne Georgiana Howard was the daughter of Sir George Howard, 6th Earl of Carlisle and Lady Georgiana Dorothy Cavendish.² She married Rev. Hon. Francis Richard Grey, son of Sir Charles Grey, 2nd Earl Grey and Hon. Mary Elizabeth Ponsonby, on 12 August 1840.¹ She died on 11 May 1891.¹
     Her married name became Grey.
