     James fitz John Barry, 3rd Viscount Barry was born before 1534. He was the son of John fitz John Barry, 13th Lord Barry and Ellen fitz Gibbon.1 He married, firstly, Ellis FitzGerald, daughter of Maurice FitzGerald.1 He married, secondly, Ellen MacCartie, daughter of Teig Mac-Cormac MacCartie.2 He died on 20 March 1557/58, without male issue.1
     He succeeded as the 3rd Viscount Barry [I., 1541] circa 1556.1 He succeeded as the 16th Lord Barry [I., c. 1261] circa 1556.1 On 9 February 1556/57 he settled his estates of Buttevant, Olethan, etc. on himself and his heirs male, with remainder to James Fitz Richard Barry roe [red], Lord of Ibawne, with similar remainder to Richard Fitz David Barry, and to David Fitz Daivd Barry roe.1

     Her married name became Barry.1 From after 1557/58, her married name became Power.1

Richard Power, 4th Baron le Power and Coroghmore1

     Richard Power, 4th Baron le Power and Coroghmore was born circa 1553.2 He was the son of John Power, 3rd Baron le Power and Coroghmore and Lady Eleanor FitzGerald.3 He married Hon. Katherine Barry, daughter of James fitz John Barry, 3rd Viscount Barry and Ellen MacCartie.4 He died on 8 August 1607.5
     On 31 May 1588 he was severely wounded fighting the rebels and in recompense was granted lands worth £50 p.a. in fee-farm.2 He succeeded as the 4th Baron le Power and Coroghmore, co. Waterford [I., 1535] on 8 November 1592.1
