     William Gordon, 6th of Abergeldie was the son of Alexander Gordon, 4th of Abergeldie and Janet Irvine.1 He married Elizabeth Seton, daughter of David Seton and Mary Gray.1 He died in 1630.1
      He was implicated in the 'Spanish Blanks' (a promise by the Earls of Angus, Erroll and Huntly to help Spain against King James VI).1

     Donald 'Oig' Farquharson, 3rd of Monaltrie was the son of Donald Farquharson, 2nd of Monaltrie and Beatrix Gordon.2 He married Margaret Gordon, daughter of William Gordon, 6th of Abergeldie and Elizabeth Seton.1 He died on 15 March 1645 at Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire, Scotland, killed in an affray with the Covenanters' Horse.3
     He gained the rank of Colonel in the service of the Braemar and Strathdee men under royalist Marquess of Montrose.4 Donald 'Oig' Farquharson, 3rd of Monaltrie also went by the nick-name of Donald Oig (or in English, 'Elder').1
