     Captain Samuel Montagu Agnew was born on 22 February 1867.1 He was the son of Captain John de Courcy Agnew and Patricia Elizabeth Dowbiggin.1 He died on 22 April 1929 at age 62, unmarried.1
     Captain Samuel Montagu Agnew fought in the Egyptian Campaign in 1882.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the service of the Royal Navy.1 He fought in the First World War.1 He was invested as a Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1918.1
