     Christian Lumsden is the daughter of General Sir James Lumsden.1 She married Sir Philip Anstruther, son of Rt. Hon. Sir Robert Anstruther and Mary Swift.2
     Her married name became Anstruther.2

     Sir William Anstruther, Lord Anstruther was the son of Sir Philip Anstruther and Christian Lumsden.1 A contract for the marriage of Sir William Anstruther, Lord Anstruther and Lady Helen Hamilton was signed on 5 July 1677.3 He died on 24 January 1711.1
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) between 1681 and 1707.4 He was styled as Lord Anstruther [Scottish Law Lord] in 1699.4 He held the office of Lord of the Justiciary in 1707.5 He lived at Anstruther, Fife, ScotlandG.1 He has an extensive biographical entry in the Dictionary of National Biography.6

     Sir John Anstruther of Anstruther, 1st Bt. was born in 1678.3 He was also reported to have been born in 1673.4 He was the son of Sir William Anstruther, Lord Anstruther and Lady Helen Hamilton.1,3 He married Lady Margaret Carmichael, daughter of Brig.-Gen. James Carmichael, 2nd Earl of Hyndford and Lady Elizabeth Maitland, on 24 January 1716/17 at Edinburgh, Midlothian, ScotlandG.3 He died on 21 September 1753 at Elie House, Elie, Fife, ScotlandG.3 He was buried at Elie Church, Elie, Fife, ScotlandG.3 His will was proven (by probate) on 28 August 1754.3
     He was created 1st Baronet Anstruther, of Anstruther and of Elie House, co. Fife [Nova Scotia] on 6 January 1700.3 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Anstruther-Easter Burghs [Scotland] between 1702 and 1707.3 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Anstruther-Easter Burghs between 1708 and 1711.3 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Anstruther-Easter Burghs between 1713 and 1715.3 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Fifeshire between 1715 and 1741.3 He held the office of Master of the Works [Scotland] on 16 July 1717.3 His last will was dated 18 August 1746.

     Lt.-Col. Robert Anstruther was born on 18 May 1805.1 He was the son of Sir Alexander Anstruther and Sarah Prendergast.1 He married Louisa Elphinstone, daughter of Lt.-Gen. Sir Howard Elphinstone, 1st Bt. and Frances Warburton, on 1 October 1832.1 He died on 26 February 1856 at age 50, without issue.1
     He lived at Thirdpart, Fife, ScotlandG.1
