      Her married name became Lowther.

     Colonel Julian Patrick Fane was born on 17 February 1921.2 He was the son of Colonel Cecil Fane and Gladys Dorothy Macgeorge.1,2 He married, firstly, Lady Ann Mary Lowther, daughter of Anthony Edward Lowther, Viscount Lowther and Muriel Frances Farrar, on 27 April 1949.1 He married, secondly, Diana Ewart Hill in 1959.3 He died on 11 August 2013 at age 92.3
     He gained the rank of Colonel in the service of the The Life Guards.1 He gained the rank of Colonel in the service of the 12th Royal Lancers.1 He was decorated with the award of the Military Cross (M.C.).1
