     Lady Ann Mary Lowther was born on 30 August 1927.¹ She was the daughter of Anthony Edward Lowther, Viscount Lowther and Muriel Frances Farrar.¹ She married Colonel Julian Patrick Fane, son of Colonel Cecil Fane and Gladys Dorothy Macgeorge, on 27 April 1949.¹ She died on 23 August 1956 at age 28 at Germany, following a car crash.¹
      Her married name became Fane. On 1 July 1954 she was granted the rank of an earl's daughter.¹

     Lady Barbara Lowther was born on 8 April 1890.¹ She was the daughter of Lancelot Edward Lowther, 6th Earl of Lonsdale and Gwendoline Sophia Alice Sheffield.¹ She married Lt.-Col. James Archibald Innes, son of James Innes, on 18 April 1914.¹ She and Lt.-Col. James Archibald Innes were divorced in 1921.¹
      Her married name became Innes. In 1948 her name was legally changed to Lowther.¹

     Lady Marjorie Lowther was born on 6 February 1895.¹ She was the daughter of Lancelot Edward Lowther, 6th Earl of Lonsdale and Gwendoline Sophia Alice Sheffield.¹ She married George Bridges Harley Guest Rodney, 8th Baron Rodney of Rodney Stoke, son of George Bridges Harley Dennett Rodney, 7th Baron Rodney of Rodney Stoke and Hon. Corisande Evelyn Vere Guest, on 15 September 1917.¹ She died on 29 July 1968 at age 73.²
      Her married name became Rodney.

     George Bridges Harley Guest Rodney, 8th Baron Rodney of Rodney Stoke was born on 2 November 1891.¹ He was the son of George Bridges Harley Dennett Rodney, 7th Baron Rodney of Rodney Stoke and Hon. Corisande Evelyn Vere Guest.^1,2 He married Lady Marjorie Lowther, daughter of Lancelot Edward Lowther, 6th Earl of Lonsdale and Gwendoline Sophia Alice Sheffield, on 15 September 1917.³ He died on 18 December 1973 at age 82.¹
     He gained the title of 8th Baron Rodney of Rodney Stoke. He graduated in 1913 with a Eton and Oriel College Oxford Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) ).¹ He was Captain 2nd Dragoons, RSG, WW I ( star, two medals), emigrated to Canada and ran a 1,000-acre ranch, Silver Jubilee Medal 1935 in 1914.¹

     Timothy Lancelot Lowther was born on 27 April 1925.¹ He was the son of Lancelot Edward Lowther, 6th Earl of Lonsdale and Sybil Beatrix Feetham.¹ He married, firstly, Margaret Elizabeth Herring, daughter of John Herring, on 11 May 1966.¹ He and Margaret Elizabeth Herring were divorced in 1976.¹ He married, secondly, Susan Ann Smallwood, daughter of Captain Leonard Stephen Smallwood, after 1976.¹ He died in 1984.¹
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the service of the Royal Navy.¹

     Arthur Lowther was born on 12 July 1820.¹ He was the son of Colonel Hon. Henry Cecil Lowther and Lady Lucy Eleanor Sherard.¹ He died on 15 February 1855 at age 34, unmarried.¹

William Lowther, 1st Earl of Lonsdale and Lady Augusta Fane, on 20 January 1817.¹ He died on 31 May 1847 at age 72, without issue.¹
     He was invested as a Fellow, Royal Socieety (F.R.S.).¹ He was invested as a Privy Counsellor (P.C.).¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Cockermouth in 1818.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Cockermouth between 1820 and 1821.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Haslemere between 1826 and 1832.¹ He succeeded to the title of 2nd Baronet Beckett, of Leeds, co.      Lady Grace Caroline Lowther was born on 17 February 1792.¹ She was the daughter of Lt.-Col. William Lowther, 1st Earl of Lonsdale and Lady Augusta Fane.¹ She married William John Frederick Vane, 3rd Duke of Cleveland, son of William Henry Vane, 1st Duke of Cleveland and Lady Catherine Margaret Powlett, on 3 July 1815 at St. George's Church, St. George Street, Hanover Square, London, England.¹ She died on 1 November 1883 at age 91 at Osterley Park, London, England.¹ Her will was probated on 31 December 1883, at over £434,000.¹
      Her married name became Vane. As a result of her marriage, Lady Grace Caroline Lowther was styled as Duchess of Cleveland on 18 January 1864.
