     Sir William Alexander, 1st Bt. was born on 3 March 1743.2 He was the son of William Alexander and Mary Porter.1 He married Catherine Malpas, daughter of John Folie Malpas, on 20 July 1764.2 He died circa 1820.2
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Royal Dublin Militia.2 He held the office of Lord Mayor of Dublin.2 He was created 1st Baronet Alexander, of Belcamp, co. Dublin [U.K.] on 11 December 1809.2

     Sir William Johnston, 2nd Bt. was born on 18 July 1765.1 He was the son of Sir Richard Johnston, 1st Bt. and Anne Alexander.1 He died in February 1841 at age 75 at Bryanston Square, London, EnglandG, unmarried.1 He was buried at St. Marylebone Church, Marylebone Road, Marylebone, London, EnglandG.1 He died intestate and his estate was administered in March 1841.1
     He held the office of High Sheriff of County Down in 1788.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Johnston, of Gilford, co. Down [I., 1772] on 22 April 1795.1
     On his death, his baronetcy became extinct.1
