Sir William Alexander, 1st Bt. was born on 3 March 1743.2 He was the son of William Alexander and Mary Porter.1 He married Catherine Malpas, daughter of John Folie Malpas, on 20 July 1764.2 He died circa 1820.2

Sir William Johnston, 2nd Bt. was born on 18 July 1765.1 He was the son of Sir Richard Johnston, 1st Bt. and Anne Alexander.1 He died in February 1841 at age 75 at Bryanston Square, London, England, unmarried.1 He was buried at St. Marylebone Church, Marylebone, London, England.1 He died intestate and his estate was administered in March 1841.1
Sir William Johnston, 2nd Bt. held the office of High Sheriff of County Down in 1788.1 He succeeded to the title of 2nd Baronet Johnston, of Gilford, co. Down [I., 1772] on 22 April 1795.1
