     Magdalen Blair was born at Blair, Dalry, Ayrshire, Scotland.3 She was the daughter of William Blair and Catharine Tait.1,2 She married Sir William Maxwell, 3rd Bt., son of Sir Alexander Maxwell, 2nd Bt. and Lady Jean Montgomerie, circa 1746.3 She died on 28 January 1765.2
     From circa 1746, her married name became Maxwell.1

     Sir William Maxwell, 1st Bt. was born circa 1635.1 He was the son of William Maxwell and Margaret MacCulloch.1 He married Elizabeth Hay, daughter of Sir Thomas Hay of Park younger, 1st Bt. and Marion Hamilton. He died in April 1709.1
     Sir William Maxwell, 1st Bt. was created 1st Baronet Maxwell, of Monreith, co. Wigton [Nova Scotia] on 8 January 1680/81.1

     Sir Alexander Fraser, 1st Bt. was born circa 1607.2 He was the son of Adam Fraser.2 He married Mary Carey, daughter of Sir Ferdinando Carey and Philippa Thockmorton, after 1659.3 He died on 28 April 1681 at Whitehall, London, England.2
     Sir Alexander Fraser, 1st Bt. was created 1st Baronet Fraser, of Dores, co. Kincardine [Scotland] on 2 August 1673.2
