     Sir Robert Gordon, 1st Bt. was born on 14 May 1580. He was the son of Alexander Gordon, 12th Earl of Sutherland and Lady Jean Gordon. He married Louisa Gordon, daughter of John Gordon, on 16 February 1613. He died in March 1654 at age 73.
     Sir Robert Gordon, 1st Bt. gained the title of 1st Baronet Gordon, of Gordonstoun. He lived at Gordonstoun, Morayshire, Scotland. He wrote the book The History of the Earldom of Sutherland.

     Louisa Gordon was the daughter of John Gordon. She married Sir Robert Gordon, 1st Bt., son of Alexander Gordon, 12th Earl of Sutherland and Lady Jean Gordon, on 16 February 1613. She died in September 1680.
