     Hugh 'Du' Mackay is the son of Iye du Mackay and Christian Dun.2 He married, firstly, Elizabeth Sinclair, daughter of George Sinclair, 4th Earl of Caithness and Lady Elizabeth Graham.3 He married, secondly, Lady Jane Gordon, daughter of Alexander Gordon, 12th Earl of Sutherland and Lady Jean Gordon, in December 1589.4 He died on 11 September 1614, having by her had, with a younger son (John, of Dirlot and Strathy) and three daughters:.4
     He lived at Strathnaver, Sutherland, Scotland.3 He lived at Tongue, Sutherland, Scotland.3 TONGUE and STRATHNAVER.4 OF FARR.4 He lived at Farr, Sutherland, Scotland.3 Hugh 'Du' Mackay also went by the nick-name of Hugh 'Dhu' (or in English, 'the Dark').3 He was also known as Huistean Mackay.3

     Sir Thomas Miller of Glenlee, 1st Bt. was born on 3 November 1717.1 He was the son of William Miller of Glenlee and Janet Hamilton.3 He married, secondly, Anne Lockhart, daughter of John Lockhart.1 He married, firstly, Margaret Murdoch, daughter of John Murdoch, on 16 April 1753.1 He died on 27 September 1789 at age 71.1
     He held the office of Lord President of the Court of Session.1 He was created 1st Baronet Miller, of Glenlee, Kirkcudbrightshire [Great Britain] on 3 March 1788.1

     She gained the title of Coutness of Monteith. Her married name became Hastings.1
