     Hugh 'Du' Mackay is the son of Iye du Mackay and Christian Dun.² He married, firstly, Elizabeth Sinclair, daughter of George Sinclair, 4th Earl of Caithness and Lady Elizabeth Graham.³ He married, secondly, Lady Jane Gordon, daughter of Alexander Gordon, 12th Earl of Sutherland and Lady Jean Gordon, in December 1589.⁴ He died on 11 September 1614, having by her had, with a younger son (John, of Dirlot and Strathy) and three daughters:.⁴

     Sir Thomas Miller of Glenlee, 1st Bt. was born on 3 November 1717.¹ He was the son of William Miller of Glenlee and Janet Hamilton.³ He married, secondly, Anne Lockhart, daughter of John Lockhart.¹ He married, firstly, Margaret Murdoch, daughter of John Murdoch, on 16 April 1753.¹ He died on 27 September 1789 at age 71.¹
     He held the office of Lord President of the Court of Session.¹ He was created 1st Baronet Miller, of Glenlee, Kirkcudbrightshire [Great Britain] on 3 March 1788.¹

     John Murdoch held the office of Provost of Glasgow.¹ He lived at Rose Bank, Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Scotland.¹

     Margaret Murdoch is the daughter of John Murdoch.² She married Sir Thomas Miller of Glenlee, 1st Bt., son of William Miller of Glenlee and Janet Hamilton, on 16 April 1753.¹
      From 16 April 1753, her married name became Miller.¹

     Isabel Russell, Countess of Monteith is the daughter of Sir John Russell and Isabel, Countess of Monteith.¹ She married Sir Edmund Hastings, 1st and last Lord Hastings (of Inchmahome), son of Sir Henry de Hastings and Joan de Cauntelo.¹
     She gained the title of Coutness of Monteith. Her married name became Hastings.¹

     Grizel Chalmers is the daughter of George Chalmers.² She married Sir William Miller of Glenlee, 2nd Bt., son of Sir Thomas Miller of Glenlee, 1st Bt. and Margaret Murdoch, on 5 November 1777.¹
      From 5 November 1777, her married name became Miller.¹

     Thomas Miller was the son of Sir William Miller of Glenlee, 2nd Bt. and Grizel Chalmers.² He married Edwina Cumming, daughter of Sir Alexander Penrose Gordon Cumming of Altyre, 1st Bt., in 1814.¹ He died in 1827.¹

     Sir Alexander Penrose Gordon Cumming of Altyre, 1st Bt. gained the title of 1st Baronet Cumming.
