     Laurence Michael Harvey Parsons, 6th Earl of Rosse was born on 28 September 1906.1 He was the son of William Edward Parsons, 5th Earl of Rosse and Frances Lois Lister-Kaye.1 He married Anne Messel, daughter of Lt.-Col. Leonard Charles Rudolph Messel and Maud Frances Sambourne, on 19 September 1935.1 He died on 1 July 1979 at age 72.3
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.1 He succeeded as the 9th Baronet Parsons, of Birr Castle [I., 1677] on 10 June 1918.1 He succeeded as the 6th Earl of Rosse [I., 1806] on 10 June 1918.1 He succeeded as the 6th Baron Oxmantown, co. Wexford [I., 1792] on 10 June 1918.1 He graduated from Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, in 1929 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He graduated from Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, in 1931 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He fought in the Second World War.1 He was appointed Fellow, Royal Astronomical Society (F.R.A.S.)1 He gained the rank of Captain in the Irish Guards.1 He was appointed Member, Order of the British Empire (M.B.E.) in 1945.1 He held the office of Vice-Chancellor of Dublin University between 1949 and 1964.1 He was appointed Fellow, Royal Society of Arts (F.R.S.A.)1 He was appointed Fellow, Society of Antiquaries (F.S.A.)1 He held the office of Pro-Chancellor of Dublin University between 1965 and 1979.1 He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the British Empire (K.B.E.) in 1974.1

     William Clere Leonard Brendan Parsons, 7th Earl of Rosse was born on 21 October 1936.1 He is the son of Laurence Michael Harvey Parsons, 6th Earl of Rosse and Anne Messel.3 He married Alison Margaret Cooke-Hurle, daughter of Major John Davey Cooke-Hurle and Margaret Louisa Watson, on 15 October 1966.1
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.1 He was educated in 1954 at Aiglon College, Switzerland.1 He was educated at Grenoble University, Grenoble, FranceG.1 He gained the rank of 2nd Lieutenant in the Irish Guards.1 He graduated from Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, in 1961 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He was a United Nations official between 1963 and 1980.1 He graduated from Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, in 1964 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He succeeded as the 7th Earl of Rosse [I., 1806] on 1 July 1979.3 He succeeded as the 7th Baron Oxmantown, co.      Arthur Wills Blundell Sandys Trumbull Windsor Hill, 4th Marquess of Downshire was born on 6 August 1812. He was the son of Arthur Blundell Sandys Trumbull Hill, 3rd Marquess of Downshire and Lady Maria Windsor.1,2 He married Hon. Caroline Frances Stapleton-Cotton, daughter of Field Marshal Stapleton Stapleton-Cotton, 1st Viscount Combermere of Bhurtpore and Caroline Greville, on 23 August 1837.2 He died on 6 August 1868 at age 56.1
