     Grizel Ker was the daughter of Sir Thomas Ker and Grizel Halket.1 She married Sir Patrick Hume, 1st Earl of Marchmont, son of Sir Patrick Hume, 1st Bt. and Christian Hamilton, on 29 January 1660. She died on 11 October 1703 at Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.1
     From 29 January 1660, her married name became Hume.1

     Sir Patrick Hume, 1st Bt. was the son of Sir Patrick Home and Julian Kerr.2 He married Christian Hamilton, daughter of Alexander Hamilton. He died in April 1648.2
     Sir Patrick Hume, 1st Bt. was created 1st Baronet Hume, of Polwarth [Scotland] on 28 December 1625.2
