     Sir Henry Dalrymple White was born on 5 July 1820.1 He was the son of Vice-Admiral Sir John Chambers White and Charlotte Elizabeth Dalrymple. He married, firstly, Louisa Mary Smith, daughter of Martin Tucker Smith, on 12 May 1858.1 He married, secondly, Alice Elizabeth Malcolm, daughter of Neil Malcolm, on 14 February 1863.1 He died on 27 March 1886 at age 65.1
     Sir Henry Dalrymple White fought in the Crimean War between 1854 and 1856.1 He was commander of the 6th (Inniskilling) Dragoons.1 He was decorated with the Order of the Medjidie (4th class
).1 He was decorated with the Knight, Legion of Honour.1
He gained the rank of Colonel in the service of the 6th (Inniskilling) Dragoons.1 He was invested as a Knight Commander, Order of the Bath (K.C.B.).1 He lived at Marden Ash, Bournemouth, Hampshire, England.1
