     Margaret Fraser was the daughter of William Fraser.2 She married David Steuart Erskine, 11th Earl of Buchan, son of Henry David Erskine, 10th Earl of Buchan and Agnes Steuart, on 15 October 1771 at Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire, Scotland.3 She died on 12 May 1819 at Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.4
     As a result of her marriage, Margaret Fraser was styled as Countess of Buchan on 15 October 1771. From 15 October 1771, her married name became Erskine.
