James Buller was the son of John Francis Buller.2 He married, firstly, Elizabeth Gould, daughter of William Gould and Elizabeth Quicke, on 19 November 1739.3 He married, secondly, Lady Jane Bathurst, daughter of Allen Bathurst, 1st Earl Bathurst of Bathurst and Catherine Apsley, in April 1744.2 He died on 21 May 1765.3
