     Captain John Byron was born on 7 February 1756.¹ He was the son of Admiral Hon. John Byron and Sophia Trevannion.² He married, firstly, Lady Amelia Darcy, daughter of Robert Darcy, 4th Earl of Holderness and Mary Doublet, on 1 June 1779 at London, England.¹ He married, secondly, Catherine Gordon, daughter of George Gordon and Catherine Innes, on 12 May 1785.¹ He died on 2 August 1791 at age 35, perhaps by suicide.¹
      Captain John Byron also went by the nick-name of 'Mad Jack'.¹ He was educated at Westminster School, Westminster, London, England.¹ He gained the rank of Captain in the service of the Guards.¹

     Lady Caroline Keppel was born on 20 August 1737.² She was the daughter of William Anne van Keppel, 2nd Earl of Albemarle and Lady Anne Lennox.¹ She married Robert Adair. She died on 11 September 1769 at age 32.²
      Her married name became Adair.

     Robert Darcy, 4th Earl of Holderness was born on 17 May 1718.¹ He was the son of Robert Darcy, 3rd Earl of Holderness and Lady Frederica Susanna Schomberg.¹ He married Mary Doublet, daughter of Francis Doublet and Constantia Van-der-Beck, on 29 October 1743.¹ He died on 16 May 1778 at age 59 at Syon Hill, London, England, without surviving male issue.¹
     He succeeded to the title of 4th Earl of Holderness [E., 1682] on 20 January 1722.¹ He succeeded to the title of 8th Lord Conyers [E., 1509] on 20 January 1722.¹ He succeeded to the title of 11th Lord Darcy de Knayth [E., 1322] on 20 January 1722.¹ On his death, his earldom became extinxt.¹ He has an extensive biographical entry in the Dictionary of Nationary Biography.³
     

     Catherine Gordon was the daughter of George Gordon and Catherine Innes.^2,3 She married Captain John Byron, son of Admiral Hon. John Byron and Sophia Trevannion, on 12 May 1785.¹ She died on 1 August 1811.¹
      Her married name became Byron.

     George Gordon was born on 14 November 1741.² He was the son of Alexander Gordon and Margaret Duff.² He married Catherine Innes. He died on 9 January 1779 at age 37 at Bath, Somerset, England.²
     He lived at Gight, Aberdeenshire, Scotland.

     Captain George Anson Byron was born on 30 November 1758.¹ He was the son of Admiral Hon. John Byron and Sophia Trevannion.² He married Charlotte Henrietta Dallas, daughter of Robert Dallas and Sarah Elizabeth Cormack.¹ He died on 11 June 1793 at age 34.¹
     He gained the rank of Captain in the service of the Royal Navy.¹

     Charlotte Henrietta Dallas was the daughter of Robert Dallas and Sarah Elizabeth Cormack.² She married Captain George Anson Byron, son of Admiral Hon. John Byron and Sophia Trevannion.¹ She died on 26 February 1793.¹
      Her married name became Byron.

     Robert Dallas was born in 1710.² He married Sarah Elizabeth Cormack.³ He died in 1769.²
     He lived at Dallas Castle, Jamaica.¹

     Elizabeth Mary Chandos-Pole was the daughter of Sacheverell Chandos-Pole and Mary Ware.^2,3 She married Admiral George Anson Byron, 7th Baron Byron of Rochdale, son of Captain George Anson Byron and Charlotte Henrietta Dallas, on 18 March 1816.¹ She died on 20 August 1873 at Rectory, Kirkby Mallory, Leicestershire, England.³ She was buried at Kirkby Mallory, Leicestershire, England.³ Her will (dated 8 April 1868) was probated on 25 September 1873, at under £5,000.³
      Her married name became Byron. As a result of her marriage, Elizabeth Mary Chandos-Pole was styled as Baroness Byron of Rochdale on 19 April 1824.

     Sacheverell Chandos-Pole lived at Radbourne Hall, Derby, Derbyshire, England.¹
