Sir Edward Grey, 1st Viscount Grey of Fallodon was born on 25 April 1862.1 He married, firstly, Dorothy Widdrington, daughter of S. F. Widdrington, on 20 October 1885.1 He married, secondly, Pamela Adelaide Genevieve Wyndham, daughter of Hon. Percy Scawen Wyndham and Madeline Caroline Frances Eden Campbell, on 2 June 1922.1 He died on 7 September 1933 at age 71, without issue.1
Sir Edward Grey, 1st Viscount Grey of Fallodon gained the title of 3rd Baronet Grey.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Northumberland, Berwick Division between 1885 and 1916.1 He was invested as a Privy Counsellor (P.C.) in 1902.1 He held the office of Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs between 1905 and 1916.1 He was invested as a Knight, Order of the Garter (K.G.) in 1912.1 He gained the title of 1st Viscount Grey of Fallodon, co. Northumberland [U.K.] on 27 July 1916.1 On his death, his viscountcy became extinct.1
