     William Martin Conway, 1st and last Baron Conway of Allington was born on 12 April 1856.1 He was the son of Reverend William Conway and Elizabeth Martin.1 He married, firstly, Katrina Lambard, daughter of Charles Lambard, on 10 June 1884.1 He married, secondly, Iva (?) on 17 November 1934.1 He died on 19 April 1937 at age 81.1
     William Martin Conway, 1st and last Baron Conway of Allington graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, with a Master of Arts (M.A.).1 He held the office of Trustee of the National Portrait Gallery.1 He was invested as a Knight Bachelor in 1895.1 He was Slade Professor of Fine Arts between 1901 and 1904 at Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England.1 He was decorated with the award of Gold Medal of the Royal Geographical Society in 1905.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for the English Universities between 1918 and 1931.1 He was Director-General of the Imperial War Museum.1 He was created 1st Baron Conway of Allington, co. Kent [U.K.] on 7 December 1931.1

     Mary Potter was born in 1821 at Manchester, Lancashire, England.1 She was the daughter of Richard Potter and Mary Seddon.1 She married Charles Zachary Macaulay, son of Zachary Macaulay, in December 1841 at Weymouth, Dorset, England.1 She died in 1913 at Somerset, England.2
     From December 1841, her married name became Macaulay.1

     Sarah Anne Potter was born circa 1821.2 She was the daughter of Richard Potter and Mary Seddon.1 She married Admiral Talavera Vernon Anson, son of General Sir George Anson and Frances Hamilton, on 13 June 1843 at St. Margaret's Church, Westminster, London, England.3,2 She died on 5 May 1846 at Penzance, Cornwall, England.1
     From 13 June 1843, her married name became Anson.1

     Admiral Talavera Vernon Anson was born on 26 November 1809 at Marylebone, London, England.1 He is the son of General Sir George Anson and Frances Hamilton.1 He married Sarah Anne Potter, daughter of Richard Potter and Mary Seddon, on 13 June 1843 at St. Margaret's Church, Westminster, London, England.2,3 He died on 8 September 1895 at age 85 at Hampstead, London, England.1
     Admiral Talavera Vernon Anson was commissioned on 16 June 1824, in the service of the Royal Navy.1 He gained the rank of Commander on 30 June 1838.1 He gained the rank of Captain on 8 June 1841.1 He gained the rank of Rear-Admiral on 29 July 1861.1 He gained the rank of Vice-Admiral on 6 April 1866.1 He retired from the military on 20 October 1872, with the rank of Admiral.1

     Catharine Potter was born in 1847 at Herefordshire, England.2 She was the daughter of Richard Potter and Lawrencina Heyworth.1,2 She married Leonard Henry Courtney, 1st and last Baron Courtney of Penwith, son of John Sampson Courtney and Sarah Mortimer, on 15 March 1883.1 She died in 1929.2
     From 15 March 1883, her married name became Courtney.2,1 As a result of her marriage, Catharine Potter was styled as Baroness Courtney of Penwith on 14 July 1906.
