     Elizabeth Maria Ruthven is the daughter of James Ruthven, 5th Lord Ruthven of Freeland and Lady Anne Stuart.2 She married General Sir Robert Laurie, 5th Bt., son of Sir Robert Laurie, 4th Bt. and Christian Erskine, on 18 July 1763 at Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.1,3 She and General Sir Robert Laurie, 5th Bt. were divorced on 2 February 1774.1
      From 18 July 1763, her married name became Laurie.1

     General Sir Robert Laurie, 5th Bt. was the son of Sir Robert Laurie, 4th Bt. and Christian Erskine.2 He married, firstly, Elizabeth Maria Ruthven, daughter of James Ruthven, 5th Lord Ruthven of Freeland and Lady Anne Stuart, on 18 July 1763 at Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.1,2 He and Elizabeth Maria Ruthven were divorced on 2 February 1774.1 He married, secondly, Judith Hatley on 25 April 1778 at Ipswich, Suffolk, England.2 He died on 10 September 1804 at Dumfries, Dumfries-shire, Scotland.2 He died intestate and his estate was administered in January 1805.2
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Dumfries Burghs between 1774 and 1804.2 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in 1779 in the service of the 16th Light Dragoons.2 He succeeded to the title of 5th Baronet Laurie, of Maxwelton, co. Dumfries [N.S., 1685] on 28 April 1779.2 He held the office of Knight Marshal of Scotland between 1785 and 1804.2 He gained the rank of Major-General in 1798.2 He gained the rank of General in 1803.2

     Janet Ruthven was born on 7 December 1747.1 She was the daughter of James Ruthven, 5th Lord Ruthven of Freeland and Lady Anne Stuart.2 She married Captain Wade Toby Caulfeild, son of William Caulfeild and Catherine Moore, on 1 August 1765.1 She died in June 1785 at age 37, without surviving issue.3
     She was also known as Jessie Ruthven.4 From 1 August 1765, her married name became Caulfeild.

     Captain Wade Toby Caulfeild was born in 1732.2 He was the son of William Caulfeild and Catherine Moore.3 He married Janet Ruthven, daughter of James Ruthven, 5th Lord Ruthven of Freeland and Lady Anne Stuart, on 1 August 1765.1 He married, secondly, Anne Cope, daughter of Jonathan Cope, in 1786.2 He died in August 1800.1
     He gained the rank of Captain in the service of the 3rd Dragoon Guards.2 He lived at Catcombe, Wiltshire, England.4 He lived at Raheenduff, County Laois, Ireland.2 He also had two daughters by his second wife.4

     Anne Ruthven is the daughter of Colonel James Ruthven of Graitney and Isabel Ruthven, Lady Ruthven of Freeland.2 She married, secondly, Frederick Bruce.1 She married, firstly, Henry Rollo, son of Robert Rollo, 4th Lord Rollo of Duncrub and Mary Woodside, on 25 April 1724.1 She was also reported to have been married on 25 July 1724.3
      Her married name became Bruce. From 25 April 1724, her married name became Rollo.

     Robert Rollo, 4th Lord Rollo of Duncrub was born on 12 June 1679.2 He was the son of Andrew Rollo, 3rd Lord Rollo of Duncrub and Hon. Margaret Balfour.3 He married Mary Woodside, daughter of Sir Henry Rollo of Woodside, on 4 June 1702.2 He died on 8 March 1758 at age 78, with two other sons (died young) and two elder daughters:.2
     He gained the title of 4th Lord Rollo of Duncrub. In 1715 Jacobite , hence imprisoned 1716–17.2

     Henry Rollo was born on 12 June 1705.2 He is the son of Robert Rollo, 4th Lord Rollo of Duncrub and Mary Woodside.3 He married Anne Ruthven, daughter of Colonel James Ruthven of Graitney and Isabel Ruthven, Lady Ruthven of Freeland, on 25 April 1724.1 He was also reported to have been married on 25 July 1724.2 He died on 2 July 1745 at age 40, without issue.2
