     William Buller Fullerton Elphinstone, 15th Baron Elphinstone was born on 18 November 1828. He was the son of James Drummond Fullerton-Elphinstone and Anna Maria Buller. He married Lady Constance Euphemia Woronzow Murray, daughter of Alexander Edward Murray, 6th Earl of Dunmore and Lady Catherine Herbert, on 16 June 1864.1 He died on 18 January 1893 at age 64.
     William Buller Fullerton Elphinstone, 15th Baron Elphinstone gained the title of 15th Baron Elphinstone.

     James Ruthven, 5th Lord Ruthven of Freeland was the son of Colonel James Ruthven of Graitney and Isabel Ruthven, Lady Ruthven of Freeland.2 He married, firstly, Janet Nisbet, daughter of William Nisbet of Dirleton, circa 1732.1 He married, secondly, Lady Anne Stuart, daughter of Sir James Stuart, 2nd Earl of Bute and Lady Anne Campbell, in July 1736.1 He died on 3 July 1783.1
     James Ruthven, 5th Lord Ruthven of Freeland was baptised with the name of James Johnstone.1 He succeeded to the title of 5th Lord Ruthven of Freeland [S., 1651] on 23 June 1732.1 In 1733 he voted unchallenged at elections of representative Scottish peers.1 In 1761 he was invited to King George III's coronation.1
