     Mary Seton was the daughter of George Seton, 4th Lord Seton and Mary Pyerres.1
     In 1548 she accompanied Mary Queen of Scots to France.1 She was Maid of Honour to Mary Queen of Scots, and returned with her to Scotland in 1561.1

     Alexander Seton, 1st Viscount Kingston was born in 1621.3 He was the son of George Seton, 3rd Earl of Winton and Lady Anne Hay.2 He married, firstly, Jean Fletcher, daughter of Sir Andrew Fletcher of Inverpeffer.2 He married, secondly, Elizabeth Douglas, daughter of Sir Archibald Douglas of Whittinghame, circa 1661.2 He married, thirdly, Elizabeth Hamilton, daughter of Sir John Hamilton of Biel, 1st Lord Belhaven and Stenton and Margaret Hamilton.4 He married, fourthly, Lady Margaret Douglas, daughter of Archibald Douglas, Earl of Angus and Jean Wemyss, on 3 August 1686.1 He died on 21 October 1691.2
     Alexander Seton, 1st Viscount Kingston was invested as a Knight in 1633.2 He fought in the English Civil War, as a Royalist.2 He was created 1st Viscount Kingston [Scotland] on 6 February 1651.1 He fought in the Battle of Pentland in 1666, as joint-commander in the victory over the Covenanters.2 He was joint-commander in the victory over the rebels at Bothwell Brigg in 1679.2 He had three sons by his first wife, who all died young, and two other sons by his second wife.2

     Her married name became Keith.

     William Keith, 6th Earl Marischal was born in 1614.2 He was the son of William Keith, 5th Earl Marischal and Lady Mary Erskine.1 He married, firstly, Lady Elizabeth Seton, daughter of George Seton, 3rd Earl of Winton and Lady Anne Hay, in 1637.3 He married, secondly, Lady Anne Douglas, daughter of Robert Douglas, 8th Earl of Morton and Elizabeth Villiers, in 1654.1 He died in March 1670/71 at Inverugie, Aberdeenshire, Scotland, without surviving male issue.4
     William Keith, 6th Earl Marischal succeeded to the title of 6th Lord Keith [S., 1451] on 28 October 1635.1 He succeeded to the title of 6th Earl Marischal [S., 1458] on 28 October 1635.1 He was invested as a Privy Counsellor (P.C.) [Scotland] in 1638.1 Before 1639 he was a Covenanter.1 He fought in the Battle of Preston in 1648.1 Between 1651 and 1660 he was imprisoned.1 He held the office of Lord Privy Seal [Scotland] from 1660/61 to March 1670/71.1 He held the office of Sheriff of Aberdeen in 1666.1 He gained the rank of Colonel in 1668 in the service of the Militia.1
