     Lieutenant William Glynne Charles Gladstone was born on 14 July 1885.1 He was the son of William Henry Gladstone and Hon. Gertrude Stuart.2 He died on 13 April 1915 at age 29, killed in action.1
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.1 He was educated at New College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.1 He was Assistant Private Secretary to the Lord-Lieutant of Ireland in 1909.1 He was Honorary Attaché to Washington in 1911.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Liberal) for Kilmarnock Burghs between 1911 and 1915.1 He held the office of Lord-Lieutenant of Flintshire between 1911 and 1915.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in 1914 in the service of the 3rd Battalion, Royal Welch Fusiliers.1 He fought in the First World War.1 He lived at Hawarden Castle, Flintshire, Wales.1
