     Mary Elizabeth Louisa Rodney Carpenter was born on 1 January 1783. She was the daughter of George Carpenter and Mary Elizabeth Walsh. She married Thomas Bowes-Lyon, 11th Earl of Strathmore, son of John Bowes, 9th Earl of Strathmore and Mary Eleanor Bowes, on 25 March 1800. She died on 1 June 1811 at age 28 at Caldecote Hall, Warwickshire, England.
     Her married name became Bowes-Lyon.

Sir David Bowes-Lyon, son of Claude George Bowes-Lyon, 14th Earl of Strathmore and Nina Cecilie Cavendish-Bentinck, on 6 February 1929. She died on 21 January 1996.
     Her married name became Lady Bowes-Lyon.

He married Mary Pamela McCorquodale, daughter of Brigadair Norman Duncan McCorquodale and Barbara Helen de Knoop, on 10 April 1956.1 He died in 1987.

Michael Claude Hamilton Bowes-Lyon and Elizabeth Margaret Cator, on 10 April 1956.1
     As a result of her marriage, Mary Pamela McCorquodale was styled as Countess of Strathmore and Kinghorne. Her married name became Bowes-Lyon.
